Fucus vesiculosus is commonly known as bladder wrack. Bladder wrack provides abundant minerals, nutrients and trace elements; ten to twenty times the amount found in land-plants. Animals grazed on land fertilised with seaweed have benefited from healthier skin, hooves and coat and with cattle there is an increased milk production. Seaweed absolute is a very concentrated dark green viscous liquid that is obtained by solvent extraction from the bladder wrack species. The absolute is relatively thick in its consistency and can be quite difficult to dispense through the dropper. If you do wish to get some out of the bottle, you may want to remove the dropper and use a glass rod. In cool weather you will need to gently warm the bottle as it can become almost solid (ie in a small amount of warm water).
